Abstract:Review of white collar crime, industrial espionage and other abuses, and complacency of British companies. Report on fraud. Some basic rules to reduce computer crime and risks of unauthorised access; employee theft, regular office inventories and telephone monitoring; industrial espionage and telephone tapping from cordless and cellular phones; product extortion and corporate blackmail; and general security. A chart indicates frequency of computer fraud and vulnerability by sector. The second article deals with fraud and badly organized businesses. The misuse of company and public resources and methods of solving this through groups of self- -employed people and subcontractors.
