| Abstract: | Starting with several definitions of quality, the first part of this study reviews certain cultural historical aspects regarding quality science. Afterwards the development of quality science is described briefly beginning from the industrial revolution up to the publication of the ISO 9000 standard series. Developments trends in US are demonstrated in particular details. |
