| Abstract: | The essay reveals the causes of the deflation situation in China from the angle of economic cycles. On such basis, it further discusses the definition of deflation in economics and points out that the current deflation in China has such characteristics as minimal degree of contraction, obvious positive effects, limited loophole, etc. It claims that anti-cycle economic policies should be combined with economic policies of long-term stability.
