Abstract:Rosemary Carawan, an executive director of Swiss Bank Corporation International (SBCI) describes her carrier. She emphasizes the importance of psychologic factors over pure knowledge in her work. After having graduated she chose Continental Illinois which gave her an excellent training. She was working in that bank during the near fatal liquidity crisis of CI. The main conclusion she draws from this event is that a bank be not dependent on a single source of found. Her favorite deal is a $250 million syndicated credit for Time.
