Abstract:This study explores he impact of various leadership (herein as: l-ship) behaviours on outcomes in nearly 100 teams. Herein, applied are especially the frameworks used from studies of transformational and emotional l-ship to investigate the impact of specific features of team leader style in determining team performance, and influencing social outcomes for team members, as well. Leader behaviours involving higher levels of emotional management were strongly related to improved levels of task performance. It is also found that higher levels of inspiration and communication of vision by leaders were directly linked with lower levels of bullying by team members.
