Abstract: | In a financially globalized world it is often ignored that the emerging market economies face boom-bust cycles. Real exchange rates tend to be inflated by global capital inflows and external problematic influences. Financial instability and volatility became some of the most significant challenges faced by the emerging market economies at the beginning of the twenty-first century. The focus of this paper is on the downside on financial globalization. |
