Abstract:This article seeks to assess the communicative mutations resulting from the intersection btw. mobile people and mobile texts. This paper argues that the experience of cultural globalization, and the entailed sociolinguistic disorder cannot be understood solely through a vision of linguistic catastrophe, but demand also taking into account the recombinant qualities of language mixing etc. The paper calls for a reconceptualization of what is considered the communicative environment.
