| Abstract: | The relationships between shareholders and management within the Bull AG are described and analyzed. The history of the Bull AG since its creation in 1933 is briefly reviewed. The evolution of its control mechanisms is examined. It is demonstrated how these mechanisms made it possible for the shareholders to govern the behaviour of the management over a period of almost 60 years. A longitudinal study is reported that casts light on the constant interplay between the power exercised by management, and the measures implemented by successive owners, private and then public. |
