| Abstract: | The paper examines the experiences of Polish expatriates in the UK. As Polish expatriates come from a former socialist economy, the differing motives and adjustment experiences they encounter are accentuated. Furthermore, the economic and social benefits of the East-West transfer are discussed, and identified as possible strong motivating factors that may help to override difficulties in adjustment. |
