Abstract: | This article makes an analysis of nine key indicators of a fairly well-off life and believes that since the start of a march towards a fairly well-off life in 1980, the extent to which China approached the goal of living a decent life had reached 69.1% by 1993, an average annual rise of 5.3% points. The goal will be attained as planned if the average annual rise in the last seven years of the 1990s can chalk up 5% points. The fact is that the first three years of the 1990s saw an average annual rise of 3.87% points. Calculated at this speed, the extent will be 96% by 2000. |
