| Abstract: | In recent years, China's residents' income has risen more rapidly and its proportion to GNP begun to increase. The ratio of per capita living expenses income between urban and rural residents , which had been narrowed from 2.37:1 in 1978 to 1.71:1 in 1984, was widened again and reached 2.61:1 in 1994. The gaps in wealth both among urban residents and between regions have become wider and wider. This paper thinks that we should form a correct ideas of income, create an environment for fair competition, perfect tax category and strengthen the collection of taxes. Besides, we have to take measures to raise the income level of rural residents. |
