| Abstract: | According to the latest statistics from a survey, this paper makes an aggregate analysis structural analysis and inter- national comparison with regard to the gap in income between urban residents in China from such aspects as disposable income, welfare income, wage income and beyond, and residents' financial assets. Then it proves that the gap is changing from being absolutely equal to relatively rational. It also analyses the outstanding problems, especially the irrational and illegal phenomena in the course of gap-widening. At last, it suggests the following: insisting on implementing the basic guiding principle on distribution of individual income, straightening out the relationships in wage distribution, paying attention to settling the problem of poverty in cities and taking strong measures against illegal income. |
