| Abstract: | Existing studies on innovation in service industries, and especially in consultancy services, are often overshadowed by concepts and methods developed for manufacturing activities, The classical features assigned to technological innovation (novelty, risk, adaptability, reproducibility as well as the distinction Between output and process) don't fit into the specific conditions of consultancy (immaterial nture, interactivity, simultaneity). For that reason, there is a great need to revisit the analytical viewpoints. This makes it necessary first to identify the specific forms of innovation in consultancy. A typology of these forms are offered which is based on an "information-knowledge linkage" criterium. |
