| Abstract: | Stirred by some major ecological disasters in the early 1980s, the Dutch Government and the employers' confederations started to develop the concept of company-wide environmental control (CWEC). This concept integrated notions such as green reporting, materials registration, green accounting and environmental auditing. These notions are still subjects of political and social controversy. |
