| Abstract: | Since Fritz Ziegler /60/ became the chairman of the third largest German electricity utility, the Vereinigten Elektrizitaetswerke Westfalen, on the 1st, November, 1993, the company's field of business is expanding. The main objective of the new leader is to get engaged in the waste treatment, waste collection business and in other municipal services. The goal is that the new departments provide the third of the turnover of the VEW at the latest ten years after. The article describes the structure, the capital portfolio of the firm, presents the most important data and characteristics concerning its activities. |
