| Abstract: | The public television network, Doordarshan, has launched its fourth satellite, and it has begun the construction of its headquarters at Mandi House. After 9 months of national debate, the Prasar Bharati Bill for autonomy of the electronic media was approved by Parliament in September 1990. The bill will be implemented by 31 March 1991 at the latest. |
