| Abstract: | Interviews with 300 male managers on their parenting style revealed obvious patterns. The understanding of how and how much work and family affect one another is increasing. The authors examined the inappropriate application of office managerial style, the needs of family and friends, the emotional spillover of work life into home life, the different agendas of fathers and children when they spend time together, and the switching from manager at work to father at home. The article concludes with strategies for change that were gleaned from the interviewed managers. |
