| Abstract: | Many systems failures have little to do with technical issues. They fail not because information systems developers lack an understanding of computer hardware and software, but because they do not sufficiently recognize that computer-based systems development is an example of organization change. This article demonstrates how researchers have examined the same issues that now face managers attempting to develop successful information systems. It also shows impediments to successful implementation and describes means of reducing them. |
