| Abstract: | To remain competitive, the information systems organization has to provide excellent service. To do this, information systems professionals must understand the client's business and be constantly aware of client expectations and perceptions by building a relationship with the client. This article analyses the structure and interaction of information systems departments with users in the past and identifies the skills needed to build a competitive information systems organization that will support today's more demanding information systems clients. |
