| Abstract: | The quality of stored data in database may not always be good, and as a result, businesses can suffer from serious losses. The value of information obtained from a database suffering from data quality and integrity problems is low. It is necessary to verify the correctness of inputs and updates to ensure the integrity of a database. Some verification can be done through the adoption of system design principles, enforcement of software controls for accepting input data and dynamic error checkling and recovery technique. Routine auditing is another procedure that managers can adopt to help ensure database integrity. |
