| Abstract: | The goal of productivity improvement has been around for over a 100 years. It has gone through the 'mechanistic' phase, in which the worker is replaced through mass production, to the 'humanistic' phase, where worker output is enhanced through empowerment. Today we must move into the 'creativity' phase of productivity improvement. This methodology takes 'thinking outside the box' in a new direction. Expert teams composed of leading thinkers from many disciplines are brought together to suggest creative and innovative solutions to process problems. |
