Abstract:Many European and USA companies have found themselves to be in low growth markets. One way of renewing such companies is by entry into growth markets. The author has studied 13 major ventures intended to renew the portfolios of Swedish companies and, in some cases, also to reorient them. This article draws on interviews with the senior management of these companies and ventures and summarizes the most important findings of the study.
