Abstract:This study is to develop understanding of embeddedness and organization networks by identifying the components of embedded relationships and explicating the devices by which embeddedness shapes economical and organizational outcomes. Embeddedness seems to be a logic of exchange that promotes integrative agreements, Pareto improvemets in allocative efficiency and complex adaption. Embeddedness may derail economic performance by making firms vulnerable to exogenous shocks or insulating them from information existing outside their network.
