Abstract:On one hand, China has comparative advantage and competitiveness in several kinds of important food, such as aquatic products, fruit and vegetable and meat. On the other hand, the above food stuffs have greater potential of expansion of export markets due to their higher flexibility of income demand. The reform in progress towards the international trade liberalisation of farm products will exert long-term influence on enlarging the scale of food trade. Therefore, there exist huge market potential if China further expands the export of ford stuffs with competitive superiority.
