| Abstract: | After analysis and inspection, the author indicates four tendencies of regional economic development of China in the 21st century: 1.The development of regional economy will gradually form the setup of the entire distribution of network development. 2.The fast growing tendency of economy will be carried forward from the southeast coastal areas towards the northwest regions. 3.Inter-regional industrial distribution of labor will transform from intersectional distribution of labor to intro-sectional distribution of labor. 4.Some central cities which have advantages in geographical position and economic conditions will gradually develop into national or regional centers of financial and management control. Meanwhile, in the future market competition and regional economy, institutional innovation will play an increasingly important role. |
