Abstract: | The present study contributes to overcoming deficiencies associated with many cross-industry studies of critical success factors by analysing levels and determinants of success in one specific declining industry, namely, iron, malleable cast, and steel foundries. Furthermore, it uses an advanced OR-method to capture technical and revenue efficiency of business entities as important features of economic success on the business unit or single-product-family firmlevel by applying Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). |
