| Abstract: | The purpose of this study was to provide an analysis of current and future human resources issues and requirements in Latin America, with special emphasis on training and education activities. The results indicated a shortage of qualified human resources, and deficiencies in foreign languages, computers and marketing skills. They also indicated that the travel and tourism industry do not command sufficient respect and support from their government and political institutions. |
