Abstract:This is an introductory article for DMT. Distributed mission training (or DMT) is revolutionary team-training paradigm currently evolving at the DOD, especially in the U.S. Air Force. The objective of DMT is to concurrently train people in team efforts involving coordination, communication and decision making. While the U.S. is pioneering these technologies, several other countries such as the U.K., France, Israel and the Netherlands are also seriously engaged in such initiatives.
