Abstract:The authors state that knowledge-sharing process may fail if they're not backed by supportive culture. Answering the question why should organizations build such support the authors suggest that to develop knowledge sharing proficiencies, and to make sure that they're part of organization's performance evaluation process. The authors discuss the development of learning and knowledge-sharing proficiency in companies. They pay attention to the following subjects: 1) Importance of knowledge-sharing; 2) Knowledge-sharing culture of Xerox Corp.; 3) Performance evaluation process of an organization; 4) Development of a knowledge-sharing effectiveness questionnaire.
