Abstract:There has been financial scandals there for over 400 years, so why are we panicking now. "Tulipmania" occurred in the Netherlands in the 1630s, and the most devastating financial calamity was undoubtedly the Wall Street crash of 1929. Even the toughest regulator will admit that sometimes it is impossible to prevent financial calamities.
