| Abstract: | The paper takes a triangulated approach to manipulation as a form of social power abuse, cognitive mind control and discoursive interaction. By analyzing a speech given by Tony Blair on UK's participation in the Iraq war, the article shows how manipulation is different from legitimate mind control, such as persuasion and providing information. |
