Abstract: | This paper used Costa Rica as a case example of an eco-friendly tourist resort to define its position in the destination life cycle. The authors used Stanley Plog's model of travelers' psychographic types to examine the travel habits and attitudes of a group of U.S. tourists, who have visited Costa Rica. The analysis draws mainly upon an internet survey. The aim of the study is to help the destination managers to see and react traveler profile changes and development trends. |
