| Abstract: | The article investigates how some organizational occurrence or outcome emerges and how organizational mechanisms work. The organizational mechanisms are illustrated by providing a coherent explanatory foundation for process research and processual research strategies. A case study of a Finnish conglomerate is conducted to examine the nature of organizational mechanisms. |
