Abstract: | This paper presents a study that investigates the factors affecting the ethical behavior of hospital nurses. 103 nurses in three hospitals in the United States participated in the study, and the results reveal that the ethical behavior of nurses is influenced primarily by the level of emotional intelligence and ethical behavior of their peers, as well as by the independence climate of the workplace. Other climate types such as professional, caring, rules, instrumental and efficiency were not found to have any significant impact on the ethical behavior of nurses. |
