| Abstract: | This is a first in a series of interviews with speakers at an international conference in June 1987 on automation. The conference spokesman talks with an executive of IBM(UK) on automation and robotics.In his view some form of automation is desirable in a boring and repetitive job that no man should be asked to do anyway.Other applications could be eg very close-tolerance repetitive assembly jobs, inspections - particularly on jobs causing eye strain. |
