| Abstract: | Planning resource-constrained projects is a difficulty task. The predicted target completion time depends upon network characteristics and on the appropriate requirements and availabilities of resources. Some means of relating predicted project duration to easily measured characteristics of the project network, the resource requirements and possible resource allocations are established to aid the planner in this task. A series of different resource availabilities was investigated for each project. Knowledge of these relationships can lead to the selection of the most economic balance between the cost of overruns and the cost of resources. |
