| Abstract: | Distribution methods have changed very dramatically in recent years as an increasing number of companies switch from own-account to outside contractors. The third-party route involves less capital expenditure and fewer personnel problems. It also provides cheaper warehouse space and instant expertise. Distribution methods have advanced greatly with technological improvements ranging from stock location and tachograph analysis to warehouse management. Much more emphasis is also being placed on the integration of distribution systems. |
