Abstract:Consulting activities are today in a state of flux. General consulting practices are looking vulnerable and professionalism is a growing requirement. Based on these premises, a number of marketing rules are developed, notably with regard to positioning consulting firms and the recruitment of consultants. Against a background of likely deregulation and internationalization of economic activities, the principal marketing challenges facing French consulting firms are analyzed. This leads one to argue in favour of the need for consulting firms to reason in terms of providing a delivery system for consulting services.
