| Abstract: | In the last minute the Netherlands prevented the final adoption of the EC's directive on broadcasting.Though West Germany, Greece, and France have also expressed objections, it is believed that US pressure was behind the Dutch decision. Earlier the White House trade representative said the planned EC programming quotas infringed the general agreement of tariffs and trade. |
