| Abstract: | In 1986 legislation was passed to privatize various French public-service enterprises including some broadcasting organizations. It influenced vocational training. The French educational system fails to meet the present-day requirements of the media profession. The trend is towards a dual approach in France. A bridge is being established between the in-house training offered by broadcasters and the state education system. |
