| Abstract: | Small textiles and clothing firms in France, Italy and the UK were surveyed to find out how they react to the challenge of Single Market of 1992. French and Italian firms seem to be much more prepared for the Single European Market than the British firms. The textiles-clothing industry is a clear example of interaction between European and non-European trading patterns and partners.
