Abstract:You are what you wear, as the saying goes. How people dress at work traditionally signifies their status within an organisation and represents a corporate image outside it. But in recent years conventional views have been challenged by companies that see casual dress as an expression of the creativity and empowerment of their employees. The author of this article examines the changing fashions. Added to this article is a short note on corporate culture and the way people dress, followed by the problems for business women in choosing what to wear.
