| Abstract: | The canned fruit market was last covered in Retail Business No 408, February 1992. This report covers the retail market for canned fruit. The catering trade is therefore excluded. The supply statistics define cans destined for household consumption as up to 1 kg net weight. Anything above this weight is assumed to be destined for the catering trade. Bottled fruit and canned pie fillings are not covered in this report. The canned fruit market had a value of 169 mn pounds in 1996. |
