Abstract:The number of UK firms joining European parent companies as subsidiaries has been increasing. This gives them an opportunity to take part in transnational communication forums. This promotes a European-level relationship between group management and trade union representatives across the continent. The so called European company councils can bring partnership between trade unions in different countries. A good example of this is HP Foods and the French food group BSN.
