| Abstract: | City technology colleges /CTC/, a new kind of independent school system was launched in 1986. The schools focus on technology but also follow the full national curriculum. Students are trained in punctuality, enterprise and business- like dress and deportment as well. Despite all the advantages it has been difficult to raise funds and the old controversy remains: should resources go into a small number of outstanding schools, or should they be evenly spread? |
