| Abstract: | A small manufacturer of plastic soap dispensers has given freedom to his shopfloor workers to make their own decisions, to improve working practices, and to manage their own jobs. Workers identify problems and they solve them themselves. This article writes about the strategies used to make this new attempt work and the problems that arise. |
