| Abstract: | Providing a selective review of the the recent analytical and empirical literature on the benefits and costs of international financial integration is the purpose of this paper, and also some key policy lessons for small open economies, particularly those that are pondering their options before embarking in programmes aimed at increasing financial openness are identified. |
