| Abstract: | This article discusses Spain's self-perceptions of its tripartite identity during the period of 1986 to the present considering the European Union, and the enlargement and level of European attachement. Eurobarometer findings indicate that Spanish identity appears to be heavily imbued in the broader European organizational structure. Therefore it is suggested that Spain has adopted a pro-European attitude. |
