Abstract:Product-country image (PCI) and tourism destination image (TDI) are different ways in which touristic intentions can be examined. The purpose of this paper is to construct a broader country image by focusing on the overlapping areas of PCI and TDI. In this study Nepal is used as a case example to test the broader country image model. The results present evidence that the country context is important to the image of the destination. A wider perspective is the key to understanding beliefs and behaviors of tourists.
