Abstract:Within the broad range of executive compensation components, the one that has the potential to 'deliver the most groceries' in terms of executive performance relates to shares. So claimed W.A. Dimma in his article 'Executive compensation gets its share'. The gains from share ownership are and should be an important and perhaps even the dominant component of executive compensation packages. As might be expected, Dimma's views have both proponents and opponents. Several leading executives readily agreed to share their opinions about this matter.
